If I wait to take pictures so that I only capture the exciting, the memorable, the worth-looking-at, then I will never take any at all. Life is, after all, more mundane than exciting; more ordinary than extraordinary; more to be savoured moment-by-moment than endured for the next great excitement. And so I post here both mundane and memorable, as they come my way.

Route #30

Here we have a trailhead sign that causes existential problems: It has two "You Are Here" spots.
We were actually at the "here" on the left.

Chad standing in the dried creek.

Part of the trail going up to the lookout point. It was hot and we got sweaty.

The view from the lookout point.

One of many owls we met. The animals in cages at the Nature Center are all rescues, and all of the birds
have some sort of injury that prevents them from going back to the wild. One of them was eating
a small bird when we came by, which was not a sight I was particularly happy to see.

Icky-looking water. And some fish.

Someone painted the solar system on this underpass. Cool, eh?

Our end of the solar system.

One of those trampoline-bungee contraptions at the mall.

This doesn't really do the view justice, especially with  that tower in the middle of it.

At the end of the route.
